  • M.A. NUMMINEN   One of the best things about being alive. Numminen ranks as one of the world's most brilliant and eccentric musicians/conceptualists. Probably THE most bizarre of all Numminen's recordings, these two albums from the 80's are finally on CD. Part one features Wittgenstein's texts in Numminen's exquisite cosmic grunting wail with the Underground Rock Orchestra (including Albert Järvinen-guitar, Pedro Hietanen -piano/keyboards). Part two is absolutely brilliant: music for art exhibition by artist Helena Vapaa. Female vocals with accompaniment by Pedro Hietanen  keyboards, Rekku Rechardt guitar, Ralph Lundsten electronics plus bass, drums. All fans of Wigwam, Pohjola, Tikanmäki, Kurenniemi and anything bizarre should grab this instantly. Digipak and booklet with English texts. Essential for our world.

This should establish them is one of the most inventive and interesting bands in Finland. Highly recommended!
